We arrived home, and I wanted to say thank you for a wonderful trip !!!

First and foremost, I want to comment on Steve. I cannot explain to you what a wonderful guide he was for us !!! Words cannot express what a great experience he provided for my girls, and that’s what matters the most to me.

He was all we expected and tons more. He was courteous, friendly, outgoing and professional all at the same time. However, what made him so good were two things. First, he opened up to my girls immediately and treated them like they were his friends. he engaged them, got to know their names immediately, and became part of the group. They immediately bonded to him and drew him into our family.

If you could only see the posts on facebook about Stove (a nickname they gave him on the first day), how much they miss him, and the posts about
“having the time of their lives” in Ireland, you would be amazed. This is what I had hoped for, and Irish Rugby Tours and Steve made that happen. I am a true believer that the tour guide can make a tour what it is, and Steve surely added a whole new dimension.

The second thing that I loved was how informational he was about Ireland itself and so many little things that makes Ireland what it is. As we traveled around Ireland in the coach, Steve would be on the microphone spilling out dates, landmarks, and history about everything and anything. Everyone was asking questions and Steve knew every answer.

You could tell he loves his job and his country. The thing is, we weren’t only there to learn about rugby, we were there to learn about Ireland, its people, its culture and its history. Steve provided that information and more.

Finally, Steve always had our best interest at the forefront of his thoughts. He was always there to help with decisions and gave his opinion to make the most out of things for the girls. IT was nice to have someone there to take such a positive interest in your welfare.

As you can tell by my rant that we loved Steve!!! Once again, I cannot relate in words what a true professional he was. Oh….and Tommy was amazing too. Him and steve could make a comedy team working together. They work very well together and Tommy was top notch!!! Anyway, both of these gentlemen, especially steve, made our trip one to remember, and I’m sure one that the girls will never, ever forget. Not only that, but Steve is now a lifelong friend that I myself, and the girls, will always have. Steve is hoping to come over in November to visit, and we look forward to treating him to a visit to the USA, like he treated us in Ireland. He was amazing !!
