USA Youth & High School Rugby

USA Youth & High School Rugby (YHS) is the national governing body for youth rugby in the United States, overseeing community and school-based rugby programs for players aged 4–18. Established as a non-profit affiliate of USA Rugby, YHS was created to provide a unified structure for the development and growth of youth and high school rugby across the country.  It serves as the sole sanctioned governing body for youth rugby in the U.S..

Today, YHS supports more than 50,000 members through a nationwide network of State Youth Rugby Organisations (SYROs), helping to organise competitions, player registration, insurance, coach education, referee development, safety initiatives and national championships.

College Rugby Association of America

The College Rugby Association of America (CRAA) is one of the leading governing bodies for collegiate rugby in the United States and oversees many of the country’s top men’s and women’s college rugby competitions.  Formed in 2019 following the restructuring of USA Rugby, CRAA was created to provide a unified pathway for elite collegiate rugby programs and to support the long-term growth of the college game.

Today, CRAA manages premier competitions including Men’s Division 1A, Men’s Division 1AA, Women’s D1 Elite, Women’s Division 1 and Women’s Division 2 rugby.  It organises national championships in both 15s and 7s rugby, provides governance and competition structures, and works closely with USA Rugby to support player development and national team pathways.

Goff Rugby Report

Goff Rugby Report (GRR) is the leading independent media platform dedicated to youth, high school and collegiate rugby in the United States.

Founded by veteran rugby journalist Alex Goff, the publication has played a major role in promoting and growing the sport across America for more than two decades.  GRR is best known for its national rankings, match reports, player profiles, recruitment news and championship coverage.

The platform follows boys’ and girls’ high school rugby, collegiate competitions and emerging player pathways.  It has become a trusted resource for coaches, players, parents and rugby administrators nationwide.

Rugby NorCal

Rugby NorCal is the governing body for youth and high school rugby across Northern California and is one of the largest rugby organisations of its kind in the United States.  Established in 2010 as a non-profit organisation, it was created after rugby administrators recognised that California had become too large for a single statewide youth rugby organisation to manage effectively.

Today, Rugby NorCal serves approximately 5,000 members and operates leagues and championships for boys and girls across multiple age grades, from introductory youth rugby through to competitive high school divisions.  It is widely regarded as one of the most successful grassroots rugby organisations in America and has helped Northern California become one of the country’s strongest rugby regions.

Our USA Rugby Teams on Tour

What Our Teams Say About Us

“This was our 1st tour with Irish Rugby Tours and we couldn’t ask for more.  They make things very easy to plan and easy from an administration side of things handling all the money and the paperwork required to tour.  Our training sessions were intense.  The coaches were great and we got to learn a few new things from them.  Our fixtures were great, learnt a lot from them & our hosts were so accommodating.  Our next trip will be in 2027 & I know who we will be using.”

Joe Kirsch, Fairport Rugby, New York.

“Amazing Team Tour Experience with Irish Rugby Tours!
This was our 3rd tour with Irish Rugby Tours!  Working with George and his team is fabulous!  They are constantly in contact with you and tailor your tour to your own wishes.  My collegiate team (UVA Women) had a tremendous time with both their rugby experiences and their cultural/tourist outings.  Incredible amount of attention to detail for your tour.”

Nancy Kechner, University of Virginia Women’s Rugby, Charlottesville.

“I just want to say something about your company Irish Rugby Tours and what a great company it is.  Amid the Covid-19 spread, Irish Rugby Tours were able to make accommodations when things were becoming hectic.  Irish Rugby Tours was with us every step of the way ensuring our tour ended and returned back to the USA safely.  This willingness to adapt and accommodate the tour has been a hallmark of my dealings with Irish Rugby Tours.”

Brendan Towell, St. Augustine Prep High School, New Jersey.

“This was our 4th tour with Irish Rugby Tours and they have been great from day one.  They make things very easy to plan and easy from an administration side of things handling all the money and the paperwork required to tour.  Our driver was great, a very nice guy who was very knowledgeable and always there to help and point out a cool site or two.

Our next trip will be in 2027 & I know who we will be using.”

Tim Kluempers, St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Kansas.
