A favourite past time for Galwegians and visitors also is a visit to Salthill promenade.

The promenade is situated at the end of Galway city and it stretches for about 2 km.

Its hard to beat the location of the promenade, on a clear day you can even see the famous Aran Islands.

Why not take a 2km stroll for 45 mins or even a swim if you are brave enough.

Tradition says that if you “kick the wall” at the end of the promenade it brings good luck.

A trip to Salthill Promenade is a must when visiting Galway.

Just an hours drive from Galway is Athlone which is home to Bay Sports.

Bay Sports is home to Ireland’s largest waterpark.  Made up of the biggest collection of original one off award winning floating slides, rockers and challenges, entertaining and delighting people of all ages and abilities.

Visit one of the oldest caves in Ireland Aillwee Cave located in the heart of the Burren In County Clare.

Perched high on its Burren terraced mountainside with what has to be one of the most spectacular views of Galway Bay.

The Burren is a place full of wonder, beauty and discovery.  Expert guides will accompany and inform you during your leisurely tour.

The tour consists of a 30-minute stroll through the beautiful caverns – over bridged chasms, under weird formations and alongside the thunderous waterfall which sometimes gently sprays the unsuspecting visitor!
