Hammam Al Ándalus Baths

Caminito del Rey Hike

The original path of the Caminito del Rey was built between 1901 and 1905 by the Chorro Hydroelectric Society. A pioneering project to take advantage of the 100m drop in the river Guadalhorce required the construction of a small dam, a canal, an arch-supported aqueduct across the gorge and 1,400m of aqueduct- tunnels.

Additionally a path way to provide access for workmen and materials between two hydroelectric sites, namely Chorro Waterfall and Gaitenejo Waterfall was constructed. Work was challenging and sailors from Malaga were called in to hang from ropes fixed at the top of the gorge.

Popular unconfirmed stories claim that convicts, including those condemned to death, undertook the riskiest parts.

Malaga Cathedral

One of the jewels of the Spanish Renaissance overlooks the sea. History, art and faith are manifested together in the Santa Iglesia Catedral Basílica de la Encarnación in Malaga.

Its long history comes from the Greater Mosque on which it was built. From there, the result of its different construction stages and styles make it a majestic Renaissance-Baroque Cathedral with a Gothic vocation.

Do not miss out on the main chapel, its magnificent canvas of the Virgen del Rosario created by Alonso Cano, its popular Virgen de los Reyes or its old Gothic altarpiece of Santa Bárbara.
