BUILDING TEAMS & LIFE-LONG FRIENDSHIPS

This week sees us getting very much to the business end of the 2020 Leinster Schools Senior Cup competition.

Today, Castleknock College take on Clongowes Wood College in Donnybrook. It promises to be a cracker. But at Irish Rugby Tours we are a little torn. Both Senior Cup teams have worked with us over the last few months.

“It was a first class service from start to finish,”

Before returning to training last year, Irish Rugby Tours organised a training camp for the Castleknock SCT.

“It was a first class service from start to finish,” said Adrian Flavin, Director of Rugby at Castleknock.  “The training facilities for the pitch and gym were a very high standard and the pools at the hotel were excellent for what we needed after our training sessions.”

Team-building was an important part of Castleknocks training camp.

The post-training excursions allowed the team to bond and build friendships away from the rugby pitch which evidently has, we hope, added to the team’s sense of unity and commitment to each other since the start of this campaign.

In January, fellow semi-finalists, Clongowes Wood College also availed of Irish Rugby Tours expertise. The eight-time winners took their squad on a week long training camp that allowed them to focus on “team-building” and fine tuning their game.

Whatever the result of their semi-final clash, we were delighted to work with these young men and their coaches and we wish both teams all the best.
