Previous Tours from Ireland
St. Mac Daras College Girls & Boys Rugby Tour to Paris

We approached Irish Rugby Tours with some vague ideas about travelling to Europe

in spring, as a step on from our trip to Wales last year. We were given lots of advice

and suggestions and eventually we talked things through with IRT they presented

s with two very strong proposals, one for Italy and one for France.

Our challenge was picking one of them! The vote was tight but we think the

Disneyland option on the Paris trip swung it.

One of the challenges we faced after coming back was selecting our tour highlight.

The training session in Parc Heller certainly rates very strongly as one of them.

Our three French coaches, Franc, Michel and Laurent were so accommodating and

such fun that they made the session what it was. They were friendly, but also

challenging, explaining some of their club history and philosophy before challenging

the students to match their standards. The session was founded on fun and

enjoyment, but was then used to progress and develop and to encourage

the team into thinking and responding differently on the pitch. It's no lie to say

that the kids learned a lot, and so too did the Irish coaches.

We certainly plan to! At this stage a rugby tour has become a part of our season.

The kids wouldn't be happy without one. Throughout the weekend we had constant

contact with George. He was checking to see how things were going, if we were

getting on okay, if we needed anything. That kind of service is really reassuring.

Even in the lead-up to our trip we felt that IRT was always available to answer

any query, no matter how trivial.

We were very satisfied with the service, options and support offered to us by IRT.

This is our second year travelling with the company, and we're looking forward to

many more to come. No matter what option we wanted, no matter what challenge or

difficulty we posed, IRT had a solution in place. The grins on the faces of the

students tell half the story - the snores on the plane home tell the other half.

We had a blast.

Thank You.

I met Tour Guides when I wasnt expecting.

Irish Rugby Tours were working away in the background all the time.

Thank You.

Wesley College School Tour to Chester & Liverpool March 2013

We were delighted with the coach and our driver throughout the trip. We arrived everywhere in a prompt and efficient manner . Stephen was extremely helpful throughout the trip and a pleasure to deal with.

Due to well worked and organised itinerary we had no need for any ground support during the trip. It was refreshing to hear from George during the trip to check that everything was going ago, a luxury we are not afforded with other tour companies.

Irish Rugby tours have always provided us as a school with cost effective, well managed and organised trips. The service and back up support provided is excellent and makes the workload of organising these tours so much easier.

Ireland - A Gateway to Europe USA Trip

Hi George,

Just a brief personal note to thank you for your support of GatewayToEurope. It was generally deemed a major success and all feedback was very positive.

The nature of the initiative was that everyone had to buy in to the spirit and muck in, and this seemed to be the culture. In particular, I don't underestimate the logistical nightmare of scheduling 50 people's movement but always done with professionalism, flexibility and humour.

We'd love to keep in touch and open to any ideas on the future shape of "Gateway", and I hope some worthwhile connections with participants and attendees were made with your business.

Delighted to meet for a coffee if we can be of help at any time.

Cheers & talk soon,

Athy R.F.C. Under 12's Rugby Tour to Cardiff April 2013

Athy  R.F.C. Under 12's Rugby Tour to Cardiff March & April 2013

Athy RFC U12's players, coaches and parents enjoyed a flawless trip to Cardiff over the Easter weekend in 2013, the trip went like clockwork and will be a memory that stays will everyone involved for life. Having organised a tour myself I know all the stresses and strains that go into pulling off the event of this magnitude but with Irish rugby tours organising this there was never any need to panic, in essence all I needed to do was but the feet up and let George do his thing and he certainly did make it happen to a high professional standard but on a very reasonable budget. I would have no hessitations in recommending Irish Rugby Tour to any sporting party thinkgs of organising a tour at home or overseas.

Many Thanks to George and all those at Irish Rugby Tour who made so many children happy - we'll not forget you - if we venture overseas again you'll be the man taking care of us!

Young Munster Under 17's Rugby Tour to Salou 2012

The food was good.  We were trying to cater to teenagers where the food was

obivously Spanish and not Mamy’s cooking for some of them.

Good rugby from both clubs we were well looked after by both clubs especially

Tarragona who were excellent when one of our players needed hospital treatment.

"We made friends for life".

"Like a good full back a safe pair of hands that took as much as possible of the worries
and hassels of going on tour away."

Cill Dara RFC Under 13s Rugby Tour to Orsay Paris June 2012

Cill Dara RFC U13’s Shine in Paris

After a year of planning and fund-raising, the U13 squad from the Curragh-based, Cill Dara Rugby Club, travelled to France last weekend to compete in the ‘Challenges Rugby D’Orsay 2012’ tournament held just outside Paris. The 36-strong squad along with coaches, mentors and parents spent two days enjoying the Parisian sights and the fantastic hospitality of the host club, AC Orsay Rugby, before getting down to the serious business of Sunday’s competition.

As one of the biggest youth tournaments in the Paris area, the attending teams consisted of clubs and rugby academies from the area including such luminous names as Stade Francais and Racing Club de Paris. Cill Dara entered two teams in a tournament and far from feeling intimated, the children were relishing playing in this illustrious company. The matches were 9 minutes long and played on half a pitch beginning with a group stage.

CBC Monkstown School Portugal Camp

From the departure from Dublin Airport, all the ‘admin’ is taken off our hands
which takes the pressure off when looking after a group of lads.

Excellent pre-departure organisation and contact on the ground over there.
Training facilities (pitch, changing rooms and gym) are as good as I’ve seen.
