The entire experience exceeded everyone’s expectations... memories of a lifetime.

The prospect of taking 29 players and 26 adults to a foreign country on a rugby tour was a daunting thought for me, the tour organizer. During the entire trip all I heard was thanks and praise from our participants. We all had a fantastic time thanks to Irish Rugby Tours. You and your staff are to be commended for such a fine job. Everything was first rate and enjoyable. Paula was fantastic from greeting us at the airport to handling any questions during the tour. She is a keeper, as we say. Hugh was great, a little quiet at first as he sized us up but he was everything we could have asked for in a driver. His pleasant personality came to the forefront as the trip went on and he warmed up to the Yanks. He was always on time and was a safe and skilled driver.

Josh and I thank you for the fine dinner at your club. Josh was salivating over the chance to even meet Roly Meates, much less have a training session with him. What a knowledgeable man and great teacher Roly is. He was very impressive. Your coaches are top notch and internationally known…and great teachers of the game. All of the training sessions were first rate with our boys learning aspects of rugby that they had not seen before even playing at the highest levels of American competition.

While the Jesuit High School Rugby Team is America’s premier high school team, this was not an official school event. We brought a cross section of our players from small sophomores to a couple of starters from our National Runner–up varsity team. The boys got a good lesson in rucking and playing the game at pace from all the games. They were outmatched by the select sides we played but never quit during any of the matches. And a nifty little drop goal from our flyhalf kept us from being shut out for the tour, so the kids were happy. Actually, I don’t think they cared that they got beat on the pitch, they were just enjoying playing rugby. We know that you are out of season and we are thankful that these teams were able to play us. Our opponents were gracious winners I am certain that the skills that our younger players gained will help our quest for another National Championship next year.

I was very impressed with how smoothly everything ran. It made my job as organizer simple. Everything proceeded flawlessly and our players and parents loved everything about our tour. The thanks that I have received as organizer have been unanimous and I owe it all to Irish Rugby Tours. You made it simple to have a great tour.
